Free trade area agreement to be discussed in Moscow

Vasily Pugachev, an authorised representative of Belarus at charter authorities and other authorities of the CIS countries, reported today, that a session of the Council of the CIS Executive Heads will be held in Moscow on 20 November to discuss the progress of implementation of the CIS free trade area agreement.

Russia approves draft agreement with Belarus on early notification of nuclear accidents

The Government of the Russian Federation has approved a draft agreement with Belarus on the early notification of nuclear accidents and on sharing information on nuclear and radiation safety. The relevant decree, signed by Dmitry Medvedev, the Prime Minister of Russia, has been published on the Russian official legal Internet portal today.

On 8 September regional elections took place in many cities and villages across Russia. Citizens from almost all regions of the country elected authorities at various levels. A total of 44,000 polling stations were open (compared with 100,000 open during the federal elections).

The Belarusian Investigative Committee has accused Suleiman Kerimov, a shareholder in the OJSC Uralkali, in the criminal case against the executives of the CJSC Belarusian Potash Company. Initiation of criminal proceedings against several executives of CJSC Belarusian Potash Company: competent commentaries

The Belarusian Investigative Committee has reported that criminal charges have been brought against several executives of the ZAO Belarusian Potash Company who had abused their official powers for personal gain over a long period. The abuse had resulted in considerable economic and reputational damage to OAO Belaruskali and the joint Russian and Belarusian company, CJSC Belarusian Potash Company. Pavel Traulko, a spokesman for the Investigative Committee commented on the situation in an interview with a BELTA correspondent.

Republican Council of NGO White Russia approves the Plan for Participation in the Organisational Structures for the 2014 Elections of Deputies for Local Councils
